Managing your emotions

April 30th, 2021

The world is undergoing a crisis. There is suffering everywhere. And as we look at people suffering, it is our desire to carry a message of hope and encouragement and to be helpful to them.

For us to be a message of hope, and to carry encouragement for them, we have to feel encouraged and we have to feel confident. Let me share with you a simple technique of how we can feel confident and we can feel hopeful.

I ask you to put your head down, bring your head down as much as possible and droop your shoulders. Lower your shoulders and in this poistion, I ask you to feel confident. Try to feel confident. Are you able to feel confident? Try one more time. Can you feel confident? No.

Now, I ask you to just straigthen your shoulder, Straighten your shoulder and broaden your shoulder a little bit and raise your chin a little up. And now, I ask you to feel sad. Are you able to feel sad? No.

What happened? The circumstances have not changed, the surroundings have not changed. But a simple change in our posture has brought a change in our emotions and in our way of thinking.

So next time if you feel discouraged, if you feel disempowered, just look at your posture. Make that small change in your posture, straighten your shoulders, broaden your shoulders, lift your chin a little up, and you will feel confident and hopeful.

And as you feel confident and hopeful, share this with others and bring confidence and hope in the lives of others, and be a blessing to many.
