Oftentimes we are very excited to take decisions about our lives, important decisions which we know is going to bring an acceleration in our lives, in our career, our finances, our purpose and our goal. We make a lot of plans. We think a lot. We are excited.
We might be awake in the middle of the night thinking about all that we have to do with excitement. And then comes in fear, apprehension, second thoughts, limiting beliefs. Should I take the decision? should I not take the decision? what will happen? And then things come to a standstill. Frustration grows and again the whole process of thinking, strategizing, getting excited and not taking a decision - and we don't make progress.
Today I learned an important lesson from driving a car. If I have to go to a place and I sit in the car, I have to press the accelerator pedal to make progress.
If I press the accelerator and I press the brake at the same time, I will not move. After some time I might get tired and I will make no progress.
We have to press the accelerator of our lives to make progress and to go in the desired direction. The brakes are for the moment when we have to use them with wisdom - in case there is a sharp turn, in case the road is bumpy, in case it is very crowded or in case we need to pause for a moment.
Let's look into our lives. Is there any area of our lives where we want acceleration, we want growth, and we want to take a decision, but we are pressing the brake at the same time.
I want to look back at my life and see the decisions where I have been procrastinating. Do you have some?
Let's look at the accelerator and the brake of our lives and use wisdom when using them.
