This morning I did an experiment on myself. I gave myself the permission to fail. Often times we set such high standards for ourselves and we don't want to fail, that we are scared that we might fail, and we don't want to try out something new. So I gave myself this permission that it's okay to fail.
I looked at my past performance - my performance in running and my performance in walking, reaching a specific target, a target distance, and today I decided it's okay to fail.
Let me experiment it out. I mixed running and walking together and the outcome - today was the third best performance since the time I started tracking my performance. The third best time of reaching my destination and this is an important lesson for me and I guess it's an important lesson for you too, that sometimes we need to give ourselves a break.
As we work, as we put our focus towards our destination, let's keep on changing the pace - sometimes fast, sometimes slow, sometimes pausing a little bit and as we give this variation while our focus is on the destination, you will notice that your performance and your productivity is far higher compared to if you're just running running, running, and running.
So give yourself the permission to fail.
